How to verify that a blogger delivered an ad placement

A practical checklist for checking Stories, Reels, posts and UGC placements: links, screenshots, reach, timing and report evidence.

For an advertiser, the phrase that a post went live should not be the end of the campaign. A creator can publish in the wrong format, use the wrong link, delete a story too early or send statistics for another placement.

What counts as delivery

An ad is delivered when the creator publishes exactly what was agreed in the brief: the right account, timing, format, offer, link and statistics that can be checked.

  • The format matches the brief: Stories, Reels, feed post, TikTok, Threads or a UGC file.
  • The content includes the product, brand, link, promo code or call to action if they were required.
  • The publication is available publicly and was not deleted before the agreed time.
  • Statistics belong to this exact placement, not another post or old story.

Check the post right after publication

The first check should happen within the first hours. At this point the creator can still fix a link, add a brand mention or update the text without losing the whole campaign window.

  • Open the publication from a regular account.
  • Check that it came from the agreed profile.
  • Save the URL, date and screenshot.
  • Verify that the post is not hidden from part of the audience.

Compare the content with the brief

A beautiful post can still fail the business task. Check what is shown, what is said, where the link leads and whether the creator makes promises the brand did not approve.

What evidence to request

  • Live link to the post or profile.
  • Screenshots with visible account and publication date.
  • Statistics from the creator account: reach, impressions, clicks, reactions, replies and comments.
  • Source video file if the brand bought UGC rights.
A good creator report answers not just whether the post went live, but what the brand received for the money.
